Wood-destroying insects, such as termites, can cause significant damage to buildings, including houses, apartments, and other structures. Each year, termites and other pests damage approximately two million structures nationwide. Depending on the extent and location of the infestation, fumigation is often the only proven method to eliminate certain wood-destroying pests entirely.
While there are alternative methods to fumigation, we specialize exclusively in whole-structural fumigation because it is the most effective way to completely eradicate infestations throughout an entire structure. We use Vikane® (sulfuryl fluoride), a gas that penetrates walls and hard-to-reach areas, targeting termites and other pests that may escape detection during inspections. Unlike liquid treatments, Vikane® ensures comprehensive elimination by reaching every part of the structure.
A common concern is whether a structure will be safe after being filled with a poisonous gas. Rest assured, Vikane® does not leave any residue behind, so there is no need to wash dishes, clothing, or other items after fumigation. To ensure safety, the air inside the structure must measure at 1 PPM (part per million) or less of Vikane® before we can certify it for re-entry. This standard, mandated by law, guarantees that your structure is safe for you and your family.
